The Early Stage Researcher Group aims to support the needs of new researchers (within 8 years of PhD completion) by providing training opportunities. Where possible, these will be held in conjunction with major aphasia conferences to maximise benefit. Topics include public involvement in research, career tips, networking and opportunities for further research within the Collaboration.
Current PhD candidates and researchers who are within 8 years of their PhD completion are eligible become members of the Early State Researcher (ESR)/Junior Stage Research (JSR) Group. By becoming a member of the ESR and JSR group you gain access to many helpful resources, including:
- Membership of an international multidisciplinary ESR/JSR group where you can share aphasia research experiences.
- Participation in regular international ESR/JSR virtual Lightning Talks which provide an opportunity to share your developing research and hear about other international, multidisciplinary ESR/JSR aphasia research in progress or recently completed
- Access the CATs mentorship program for post-doctoral researchers
- Access to Aphasia Research Methodology Master Classes
- Video tips from experienced researchers on a range of topics such as:
- Work/life balance in research
- Collaborating and networking
- Presentations and publications
- PhD supervision
- Dissemination during a PhD
- Grant applications
